Gaston County Schools

Gaston County Schools is the second largest employer in Gaston County with more than 3,800 full-time and part-time employees, including 1,950 classroom teachers.  We are the tenth largest school district in North Carolina with more than 30,000 students, and our neighborhood schools are a great source of community pride.  Our 56 schools are accredited by AdvancED/Cognia – receiving accreditation is a recognition that signifies that all of our schools have earned the distinction of being a quality
