The Tryon Resolves: 240th Celebration
Description
The Tryon Resolves, a local Declaration of Independence, was adopted by citizens of our area almost 11 months before the US Declaration of Independence. Visit the Backcountry Farm to see black powder firing demonstrations and re-enactors mustering for a militia. At 4 PM hear a reading of the Tryon Resolves featuring 51 names of local pioneers who bravely signed for freedom.
