Description

Thursday March 19th, the Hive will host a Nashville Writers Round.

The night will include an intimate acoustic concert performance from three young Nashville songwriters that will be touring through the Southeast.

This special event will be a blast for anyone who enjoys listening to music, and hearing the stories that inspired the songs. It will also include a Q&A portion following the performances. The Q&A period will provide insight and direction for anyone who has interest in songwriting.

Have you ever dreamed of writing a song but don't know where to start? Or maybe you've written a few songs but feel like you would need some guidance on how to better craft your songs. Or maybe you have great songs already, and just have questions on the music business. Like, how do songwriting royalties work? How to publishing companies work?

This is the night for you!

The three featured songwriters for this tour include Tyler Flowers, Kiely Schlesinger, and Mitchell Lee.

Tyler Flowers (pop folk)
Flowers was born and raised in Brentwood, Tennessee. As a professional touring guitarist, he will tell you he’s ‘played a lot of really cool stages;’ it doesn’t get much more memorable than The Grand Ole Opry and the Ryman Auditorium.  TV appearances include national shows like Conan O’Brian, Fox and Friends, and Better TV.  Touring the country with national acts, Sarah Darling and Dakota Bradley, has given Tyler exposure to thousands of fans. He was a winner of Nashville’s Puckett’s ‘Rising Star Songwriting Contest. With his guitar in hand, Tyler immediate charms concertgoers with his easy and playful stage personality. The clarity and tone of Tyler Flowers’ vocals set him apart.  However, it’s his heart-felt melodies and honest lyrics that draw listeners in, and invite them along on his journey as he utilizes soothing guitar-based melodies and intimate piano style to convey a powerful and original musical sound.

Kiely Schesinger (Americana)
Kiely is originally from Crown Point, IN. As the daughter of a professional actress, she made the move to Nashville TN, and started a buzz with her mesmerizing presence and incredibly powerful vocals. Her singing is something you experience, not just listen to. Her Americana style is heavily influenced by sounds of the past, which she attributes to Bob Dylan, Glen Hansard, Joni Mitchell, Patsy Cline, Hank Williams Sr. One thing is for sure, this girl has some grit to her, and a dark side that will haunt you, in the best way.

Mitchell Lee (alt country)
Mitchell is a Charleston, SC, transplant that made the move to Nashville, after a very successful 4-year stint with his Charleston-based band, Southwood.
As the frontman and lead singer of Southwood, he has been on the bill with Zac Brown Band, Kenny Chesney, Eli Young Band, Old Crow Medicine Show, Hootie & the Blowfish, Radney Foster to name a few. He was a golden ticket winner and Hollywood Week contestant for the 11th season of American Idol. His voice is powerfully authentic. His songs feel like a combination of something current, woven with a thread of 90s rock like Matchbox 20 or Hootie & the Blowfish, and the smell of older southern rock like the Allman Brothers or the Eagles.

With these three songwriters, there is something for everyone! So come on out for a great night of live music at The Hive!
