Anna Jackson

As a Business Counselor for North Carolina’s Small Business and Technology Development Center, Anna enjoys assisting leaders as they build their businesses.
Anna is adept at assessing critical needs; coaching on management and financial disciplines, facilitating strategic planning sessions; guiding companies through implementation of their succession plans, advising on how best to prepare to access capital and coaching leaders as they build their sales and marketing playbooks.
Anna brings a uniquely blended background that includes corporate executive experience in finance at the Compass Group, organizational management consultant at Ernst & Young and administrative management roles for entrepreneurs.
Roles she draws upon directly, in assisting SBTDC clients include:

• Leadership coach & management trainer, coaching w/instruments such as MBTI, Strengths Finder, DiSC & WorkPlace Big 5
• Healthcare Management consulting, at Ernst & Young, leading post-integration teams and serving as interim administrative executive for newly merged companies - building teams, facilitating strategic planning sessions, training new consultants
• Director of Financial planning and Management Reporting for Compass Group - international food services contract services company  – leading team in compiling subsidiaries budgets, forecasts & internal management reports
• VP Administrative Services in Red Mountain Mgmt. Co, an entrepreneurial management company, leading administrative team in providing the financial, technical and human resource services to multiple restaurant concepts
• Financial consultant for Monaghan Group – serving in financial roles for companies like Hanes Manufacturing.
• Restaurant Development manager, at Apple South, where she managed team who prepared marketing and financial analysis for new restaurant locations and concepts

Anna holds a B.S. in Business Administration and an M.S. in Organization Development. Additionally, she is formally trained as a facilitator, project manager and leadership coach. During her leisure time, Anna enjoys spending time with family and friends, assisting with international study tours, taking walks with her golden retriever and relaxing in Maine.
