Description
The early settlers in the Carolina Backcountry fashioned a life from the fields and forests of the area, bringing with them traditional skills and styles from their native lands. Explore the incredible artistry represented in the objects of everyday life in the 18th century. Learn about the modern local craftspeople that continue to practice traditional skills today to recreate period works of wood, metal, textiles, pottery and more.
